And in the spirit of the season, I have perfected a slow cooker hot chocolate recipe for you to share with your family on Christmas Eve, co-workers at the office, or with your kids after a day of playing in the snow!

What goes into this wonderful recipe?
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder–Use Ghirardelli brand cocoa
- Organic Whole Milk
- Organic Heavy Cream
- Hot Water
- Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips--Use Ghirardelli chocolate.
- Evaporated Milk
- Kosher Salt
You can always use other brands of cocoa and chocolate, but for this hot chocolate recipe I always recommend the best quality ingredients.

- 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 Cup Hot Water
- 20 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 10 Cups Whole Organic Milk
- 2 1/2 C Organic Heavy Cream
- 1-12 oz Can Evaporated Milk
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1/4 t. Kosher Salt
- Put all ingredients in a standard sized Slow Cooker.
- Mix until cocoa is dissolved
- Cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 6 hours. Stir once or twice to incorporate the melted chocolate chips.
